How to pair
Before using your mobile phone with Blue&Me™, you must create a pairing
relationship between the mobile phone and Blue&Me™. After this procedure, Blue&Me™
will automatically connect to your phone each time that you enter the car and
turn the car's key to the 'on' position.
To create a pairing relationship using manual interaction, follow these steps
when the car is not moving:
Navigate to the Blue&Me Setup / Setup, Pairing, and
then press <SRC> or <TEL>. Blue&Me™ starts the pairing procedure.
Blue&Me™ shows the mobile phone pairing PIN number on the display screen and also
speaks the PIN number.
Important note
Due to its battery saving strategy (Bluetooth chipset
is switched OFF after few seconds), this device has limited functionalities.
This mainly affects the calls originated from hands free while incoming calls
have just a few or no limitation.
Procedure on the mobile phone
- Go to the START Menu, select SETTINGS, select CONNECTIONS tab.
- Select Bluetooth and set Bluetooth on ACTIVE.
- Select BLUETOOTH MANAGER, select CONNECTIONS tab.
- Select NEW in the lower left menu, select NEXT.
- Select "Blue&Me", select HANDSFREE UNIT, select NEXT.
- Select "Blue&Me" holding down the selection.
- From the popup menu select CONNECT.
- Enter the PIN, select FINISH.
Tips & Tricks
(1) Calling number:
- Upon an incoming call, the phone doesn't pass the number of the calling
party to Blue&Me™.
(2) Conference Call
- Even if the phone is expected supporting the conference call feature it
never goes into the conference state. Calls are left in the active state with
no possibility to toggle between them.
(3) Contacts download
- Only the contacts stored on the phone could be downloaded.
